At the beginning of April 2018, Poland’s first interdisciplinary Centre for Research on Reliability in Science was launched at the Institute. The centre was established on the initiative of an actual member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Andrzej Górski, MD, PhD, and its first chair was Jan Borysowski, MD, PhD, a graduate of the 1st Medical Faculty of the Warsaw Medical University. J. Borysowski, PhD, is the author of substantial publications in the area of ethics, including an article published in the prestigious journal BMC Medicine, and a member of the National Committee for Cooperation with the European Network of Ethics Commissions in Science (ENRIO) at the Polish Academy of Sciences Presidium.
The Center’s work will focus on the ethical and legal aspects of research and publishing of scholarly works, which will contribute to raising awareness among the scientific and academic community of the key problems and challenges associated with integrity in research.
