Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate diploma of the Université de Paris I – Panthéon–Sorbonne masters’ degree of the Faculty of Law and Administration Warsaw University. In 2007, she gained PhD on the basis of her thesis Wpływ procesów globalizacyjnych na polskie prawo karne [Corruption in the Polish criminal law in the light of international instruments]. In 2015, she obtained her habilitation on the basis of the thesis Wpływ procesów globalizacyjnych na polskie prawo karne [Impact of globalisation processes on Polish criminal law].

Director of the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (ILS PAS), from 2016;

Secretary General of the European Law Research Association. Member of the Board of Director of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP).

Scholarship holder of the French (2001) and Italian (2004) government, and several times in Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (2007, 2009, 2011, 2012).

Editor-in-chief of ‘Contemporary Central and East European Law’. Member of the editorial board of scientific journals ‘Krytyka Prawa. Niezależne studia nad prawem’(‘Critics Law: Independent Study on the Law, from 2014), ‘Klinika Prawa’ (‘Legal Clinic’ from 2012), correspondent Revue de Science Criminelle et de Droit Pénal Comparé (from 2011).

Since 2000 – Asistant at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, since 2007 – Assistant Professor, since 2015 – Associate Professor.

In 2001-2007 – Lecturer at European University of Law and Administration, Warsaw. In 2006-2007 – Asistant at University of Warsaw. Since 2007 to 2015 – Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, Kozminski University, Warsaw. From 2015 – Associate Professor at the Department of Criminal Law, Kozminski University, Warsaw

In 2012 – Guest lectures at the Institut des Sciences Politiques, France

  • criminalization of corrupt behavior;
  • alternatives to imprisonment;
  • globalization on the national criminal law systems;
  • hybridization of legal systems;
  • protection of the financial interests of the European Union;
